We said goodbye to our house at the end of August. There were definitely tears shed as we left. Corby and I bought this home 10 years ago while I was expecting Cade. We were so excited to move in and start our family here. I was only 23 years old, I feel like I've grown up in this house. I am going to miss all of our great neighbors. We bought a lot close by (I told Corb I couldn't move more than 1/2 mile away) and are going to build a home. In the meantime Grandpa Lou has been kind enough to let us stay in his basement. We are so grateful to have somewhere to stay during the interim. My Grandpa is the kindest most gracious man I know and I am so excited to have my children get to know him better and learn from him.
Some of the perks of living with Grandpa are movie nights,
Having him to help teach the children at family home evening and dinners together. Bergen thinks he is the greatest. It has been great for us, I'm sure Grandpa is rethinking things with all the noise and commotion in his house!
Here is the site of our future home, it's not much now but I am so excited to see it progress!

WHAT! That is so exciting-your old home was so darling I can only imagine what this one will look like! Good luck with everything. I bet that was hard to leave your neighborhood! I love the piano-that turned out beautiful!
YAY! I am glad you posted a pic of them digging. I feel like I get to watch the progress. SO EXCITING! And it will be so great to be with grandpa he is so wonderful. The pictures that you are getting with him are priceless!

Grandma's piano looks lovely.
We built a home three years ago. It was an experience. Let's just say I lost some serious sleep worrying about everything. Good luck--you have great taste, it's going to be fantastic!
