Mother's Day

I had the best mothers day!  First I got to sleep in, then Corby made eggs benedict (my favorite) for breakfast.  After breakfast I was given a new camera!  I am so excited, I have been wanting a nice camera for a while.  It is a digital Canon Rebel XTi with 2 lenses, the standard and a 55 - 250mm lens.  I have already had so much fun taking pictures!  

After church we went to the cemetery for a picnic at Corby's mother's grave.  It was so nice to spend some time there and talk about her with the kids.  

We had dinner at my parents house and all my siblings (except Marianne and Jathan) and families were there as well as Brett and kids, Darin and Kamie and my grandparents and my uncle Bill who has been staying with my parents for a while.  Dinner was prepared by the men and was awesome!  I think they should do it every get together:)  Later that evening we went to the McArthur's and had a nice visit with them.  I am thankful that they have taken us into their family and become my children's other grandparents, they are great.  

After we got home Corby surprised me with a video of my children and all my family talking about what they like about me.  You know this was an incredibly long video as everyone just could not stop talking about all the many reasons they love me!  But it really was touching, I have the best husband!  All in all it was a pretty great day.  I will post more pictures as I figure out my new camera.

Mother Daughter Tea Party

We had a Mother/Daughter tea party for activity days on Thursday afternoon (I am an activity days leader).  My partner and I made little chick place cards compliments of Heather Bailey that turned out really cute.  One of the other leaders had centerpieces from a daughters wedding.  I borrowed table cloths from my mom and I think the whole effect was rather nice.  Of course we had to get pastel colored bread from the bakery for tea sandwiches, the girls thought that was pretty cool.  I took Andelin with me even though she is not old enough for activity days yet and we had a great time together.

Fablehaven Launch Party

We are big fans of the Fablehaven books written by Brandon Mull.  His third book in the series was released on April 21 and there was a launch party on April 25 at Cottonwood High School.  Cade is really into this series and this author, we met him at a book signing when the second book came out, so we went to the party with our friends the Jill, Brooklyn and Adi Jensen.  It has been so fun for me to see Cade get so excited about books and reading, he was counting down the days to the book release.  

We got to hear Brandon Mull talk about the writing process and where he gets some of his ideas from and we met some of the characters from the book.  We left with t-shirts and autographed books.  It was a really fun night.

Sawyer Smith Latimer

Jared and Amanda welcomed little Sawyer Smith to their family on April 23.  Only 8 days after her due date :)  He is so darling even though he looks alot like his daddy.  Amanda looked amazing, she did not look like she had a baby 4 hours earlier.  She stayed in the hospital for 7 hours and then went home, she is amazing!

A date with Cade

Cade and I went on a date Thursday night.  We went to IHOP because they had Horton Hears a Who breakfast items and Cade had just seen that movie.  It was so fun just to focus on Cade and visit with him without any interruptions.  He is such a great boy, he is always giving me compliments and making me feel good.  After dinner we went to the pet store and walked around.

Easter

We had a full Easter weekend. The Easter Bunny came Saturday morning, then we headed over to the church for breakfast, then over to my parents for an Easter egg hunt.  There were quite a few kids there; all my siblings were there with their children as well as, Shane and Keri, Beth and her kids,  and Brett and Terri and their kids.  Jon and Gretchen surprised everyone with a pony and cart to give all the kids a ride.  

We had Easter dinner at my parents house on Sunday.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, WE ARE EXPECTING!!

Yes! This does mean that the Baldwins are expecting!

Indeed this does make 4. Corby out!
